Special Weather Statement
Issued: 12:50 AM Jan. 23, 2025 – National Weather Service
...HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS DUE TO SNOW AND ICE WILL CONTINUE THROUGH AT LEAST THURSDAY MORNING... Dangerous road conditions will continue through at least Thursday morning. Any limited melting that occurred today will quickly refreeze this evening and tonight as temperatures drop into the teens. Expansive snow cover will make travel very difficult, especially on secondary roads. If you must travel, slow down and allow for plenty of space between yourself and other vehicles. Be especially mindful on bridges, overpasses, and secondary roads. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you plan to drive or walk, remain alert for ice. Slow your driving speed and use care when walking on sidewalks, driveways or parking lots. Slips and falls constitute a leading cause of injuries during winter weather. &&
