THROUGH 730 PM CDT...

At 644 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Diboll, moving west at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Burke, Diboll, Hudson, and Lufkin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

- Bankfull stage is 158.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:15 AM CDT Friday was 161.3 feet.
- Forecast...The Angelina River north of Lufkin is expected to
rise to a crest of 161.9 feet just after midnight tonight. It
will then rise to 162.3 feet Tuesday evening. Additional
rises are possible thereafter.

flooded boat ramps and trails.

- At 8:15 AM CDT Friday the stage was 11.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
- Forecast...The Neches River south of Diboll is expected to
rise above the 12 foot flood stage late tomorrow morning to a
crest of 12.2 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below
flood stage early Sunday afternoon.
